What is Bell Work?
"Bell work" is a term for an immediate assignment upon entering a classroom, so named because students are expected to work on it before the bell rings. It is designed to focus students on the subject of the class, and avoid distracting preoccupations during the first minutes of class time. Where students are moving from room to room within a school day, bell work is usually designed to last until shortly after the "tardy" bell rings, to end the transition from class to class.

Answer . I believe it was in Nova Scotia Canada
an electric bell has an electromagnet emitter near the iron strip .the iron strip has a connection screw which helps to complete the circuit. the electromagnet helps to pull t…he iron strip from the connection screw. this breakes the circuit and the electromagnet no longer will have the power to pull the iron strip, so the iron strip moves to the connection screw and makes the circuit complete which makes the iron strip pull towards the gong this cycle continuous till the switch is on
magic just kidding a eletro magnet
when you push the switch of the bell the electicity is passed to the bell. there is a little coil running around a metal piece in site the bell. when the AC (alternate current…) passess through the coil it creates the magnetic field and tries to attract the little hammer towards itself. The hammer is kept in tension so that it always tries to move away from the metal piece. the continuous attraction of the metal piece and the pull back action of the hammer results in a vibrating motion of the hammer. the head of the gammer is allowed to touch the edge of the bell slightly. the continuous touching (hammering) results in the producion of the sound. and this is the way the electric bell works....
A electromagnetic bell works by a electrical circuit.

A chime doorbell uses a specialized sort of electromagnet called a solenoid . A solenoid is just an electromagnet where the coiled wire surrounds a metal piston . The piston… contains magnetically conductive metal, so it can be moved backward or forward by the electromagnetic field. Reference: http://home.howstuffworks.com/doorbell3.htm
it works due to vibrations
Iraqi people benifited because the remembered her with nothing exept resembling effection.

Commonly, modern type bells have motors inside of them which when they are powered, it spins round continuously a hammer which hits the outside part of the bell (Dong) very fa…st and that's what creates the bell noise. Older types use elctro magnets. When powered, the hammer is ver quickly pulled back and forth by the electromagnet.

by the vibration of the whole bell , it makes a sound
