Well then it is because he thinks that you do not NEED that shot.
The shot is with novacaine and is given if necessary due to its numbing result.
All you feel is a little pinch but if he asks you , you should take it.

You bet'ch.nope, sometimes the dentist will put on surface anesthetic (like a strawberry flavoured thing) that will numb the area. After that they will inject you with novocaine. When i had the injection i didnt even feel the needle go in, just focus on something and it should be fine.
