Firestar is the leader of Thunderclan in the series, Warriors. He started out as a kitty pet (housecat) and became an apprentice, where the leader of Thunderclan at that time, Bluestar, gave him his clan name as Firepaw. He was best friends with another Thunderclan apprentice, Graypaw. He learns how to fight and hunt like a warrior and lives by the warrior code. At the end of the first book in the whole series, Into the Wild, he and Graypaw become warriors after they find and bring home Windclan.
They get the new names, Fireheart, and Graystripe.

Fireheart is an orange cat with bright green eyes from the Warriors Series by Erin Hunter. He was born in twolegplace (a neighborhood full of humans) and was brought to Thunderclan by Thunderclan's leader and a Thunderclan warrior. He trained in Thunderclan even though he was born a kitty-pet (owned by a human) and soon turned from an apprentice to a clan warrior. *****Spoiler Alert***** Later, after exposing a trusted clan-mate's betrayal and having the original clan leader die saving her clan from the betraying clan-mate's evil plots, he becomes the clan leader, Firestar! He then, pretty much, becomes a back round character for the next two series as the next books revolve around his descendants. As of the fifth book, Long Shadows, in the third series, The Power of Three, he has five of his nine lives left. Rumor is that he will die around the 6th book of the omen of the stars series.
well adding to that. he has two daughters and three grandchildren. He also has a nephew, a great niece, and two great great nieces.
ThunderClan's current leader, Princess' brother, Scourge's half brother, Quince's stepson, Jayfeather Hollyleaf and Lionblaze's grandfather, Sandstorm's mate, Leafpool and Squirrelflight's dad.
Also Ivypools and Dovewings great uncle.
to be honest, Firestar was too good to the other Clans, when he knew there was always meant to be five Clans (Thunder, Wind, River, Shadow, Star). But he was loyal to his Clan, and led them through their Darkest Hour and more
So Firestar was both good leader, but in some ways, he was a bad leader.
NO HE IS A GREAT LEADER! HE KEPT THE 5 CLANS! HE DEFETED HIS OWN HALF BROTHER JUST TO SAVE HIS CLAN! IF HE DIDN'T GET ALL THOSE KITTYPETS THEY WOULD BE DEAD! YOU MUST LOVE TIGERSTAR AND HAWKFROST! DO NOT BELIEVE THIS GUY UP HERE! -Ava P
