If you accidentally breathe in smoke from burnt posion ivy, you can possibly get posion ivy in you throat, mouth and lungs, which is VERY painful and DANGEROUS. If you have a severe alergic reaction, you may not be able to breath.

∙ 14y agoNothing will happen to you if you're among the lucky people who aren't allergic to the irritating urushiol oil that's found within every part of poison ivy [Toxicodendron radicans]. Nothing may happen to you if you immediately wash in soap and water whatever came in contact with the bush. Rashes, itches, boils and blisters are some of the reactions that many people suffer in the wake of contact with poison ivy. It's considered a possibly life threatening situation if the contact affects your head or respiratory system.
