Foods that need to be refrigerated should not be unrefrigerated for more than two hours. I remember one summer my refrigerator broke and I immediately pulled out my coolers and bought some ice. If the refrigerator is in an area which is cool and is maintaining a temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below you may be safe but don't take a chance get the refrigerater fixed or put your items on ice.

No, the refrigerator slows the spoilage of food but it can still go bad though after a period of time. When food is chilled it lasts longer than it would if it was at room temperature.

As long as you keep the door closed as much as possible, it's probably ok for a day or so, but eventually the food will spoil.

Yes, food can go bad in the refrigerator, especially if it is past its expiration date. It will go bad slower in the refrigerator than outside of it, but it can still go bad.
