Well check your disk, see if its scratched...i lost the legend of Zelda because it was completely scratched ;(
very easy mistake, game is upside down. to avoid this, lay wii down on its side (on built in rubber pads) then you always put the disk in right!
First of all make sure you're not putting the disc in the wrong way around.
1. Restart the Wii.
2.If that doesn't work, clean the disk using a 1:1 water/isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) solution. When cleaning disks always clean with a soft or microfiber cloth and pull from the center of the disk straight out to the outer edge of the disk, or by using small circular rotations. Never clean the disk by wiping in large circles around the disk as this could do more damage to larger portions of the disk surface.
2. Try another disk (that you know works). If another disk works in the drive there may be a problem with the first disk. If you have the same error while trying other disks you may have a problem with the DVD drive on your Wii. The drive or laser could be damaged or dirty.
3. Clean DVD drive laser. There are many cheep drive cleaners available at local retail stores. Follow the directions on the packaging. If cleaning the laser doesn't work than the drive may be faulty.
4. Contact Nintendo customer service for repair services or take it to a local repair shop.
If it's always worked before, it's probably not a problem with the game. Just restart the whole thing and see if it'll work then. If not, you may want to check out your Wii, to make sure there hasn't been a glitch or malfunction.
Have you tried turning it the other way or wipeing the disc clean. If none of those work then you must have been either sold a dud game, have an error with your wii or its really old and hasn't got the gaming update needed every few months or so. If none of those is the answer i'd consult a gaming specialist.
Try to clean the disk of fingerprints and check it for scuffs and scratches. You might also want to try and clean your Wii's disk drive with a cleaning disk. If your game still doesn't work, return it to the store for a new one.
Well I take out the disc and clean it with a washcloth that is a little bit damp. Then put the disc in and it should work.It Didnt help I just did it any other ways to fix it
If you live somewhere close to a blockbuster or a DVD or movie renting place they usually have a machine to fix discs. it happened to my mariocart disc and now it works.:P

The same thing happens in SSBB too. The graphics are vey high and there is so much data on the SSB games that if you bought your console when it was first out it couldn't handle it. Basically your Wii is so old the game is too epic for it. This is how you can fix the problem: 1.Make sure the disc is super clean with no specks of dust on it. then blow inside the slot where you put the disc to get the dust pout of there. If that doesn't work, then you can fo these things: 2.You can send your Wii to Nintendo for the to fix it. Or you can do this: 3.Buy a wii lazer lens cleaner. I might've spelled it wrong. =) 4. Make you own lazer lens cleaner. You can look up how to do that on Google probably. It takes too long to explain. I hope this helped because the same thing happened to me, I made my own lazer lens cleaner to fix it.
FO is the abbreviation for FunOrb, an online game site.
