The code is EVAP emissions control system vent. Canister Air-Filter Inspection 1. Disassemble the Canister Air-Filter and hose from their respective positions. 2. Check the Canister air-filter for contamination. 3. Is Canister Air-Filter contaminated with dust? YES ▶ Replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. NO ▶ Go to "Canister Closing Valve(CCV) inspection" procedure. Canister Closing Valve(CCV) inspection 1. Return vehicle to original condition 2. Ignition "OFF" 3. Disconnect the hose connecting Canister Closing Valve(CCV) to canister 4. Blow air to the canister side of the valve and verify air escapes to the air filter side. 5. Ignition "ON" 6. Install scantool and select "CANISTER CLOSE VALVE" on the Actuation Test mode. 7. Activates "CANISTER CLOSE VALVE" by pressing "STRT(F1)" key. 8. Blow air into hose and verify air does not escape. 9. Repeat this procedure 4 or 5 times to ensure CCV reliability. 10. Is CCV working properly?

1. Connect SCAN TOOL to data link connector or OBD-II check connector. Turn ignition to ON and check other DTC. Is DTC P0447 or P0448 set? If YES, correct these before proceeding. If NO, go to step 2.
2. Turn ignition OFF and disconnect hose connecting CCV to canister. Blow air into hose removed from canister and verify air escapes. Turn ignition to ON and jumper a wire to chassis ground at CCV control terminal. Blow an air into hose and verify air does not escape from port. Repeat this procedure 4 or 5 times to ensure CCV reliability.
Is CCV working properly? If YES, Problem is intermittent or was repaired and engine control module memory was not cleared. Check terminal connections at ECM and PSV. If NO, temporarily install a good CCV and test for proper operation. If problem is corrected, install new CCV and test for further codes.
