A poison ivy rash looks red and splotchy in appearance. It can be raised an also form blisters. It can take on a linear appearance due to the way the plant brushes across the skin in casual contact.

I think you will eother get red blotches or you'll just get completely red in the spot where the oak touched but I would try to look it up on health websites or look it up in a book on deseases and stuff at your local library or ask a friend or family member who knows what it looks like for sure with out second guessing but I'd try eather a book at your local library or on a health related website those are way more helpful.

What is a rash LIKE poison ivy but not if it weren't march and if i didn't know how i could have been exposed i would have sworn it is poison ivy?

It could be from poison oak or sumac, which are very similar to poison ivy. It could also be a reaction to something else you rubbed against or something you ate or put on your skin (like a cream). If anti-itch cream or poison ivy-like relief medications don't work and the rash persists or spreads or gets worse for a few more days or so, go to a doctor. They could probably help tell you more clearly what might be wrong.

Can you use mupirocin for poison oak?

Mupirocin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It is not effective against viral, fungal or other types of infections. Poison Oak, as well as poison ivy and sumac cause a skin rash called allergic contact dermititis. Mupricocin would not be effective against it. Calamine lotion is often used for this type of reaction, and your doctor may prescribe an appropriate medicine that is effective.
