Last nite, July 31st, 2008, a skunk pooped in my courtyard around 4:00am. I went out after sunrise to pick it up. I WAS SO SURPRISED at the amount of worms in his/her poop. I would say that the poop was comprised of 60% worms and 40% food. The best way that I can describe it is that it looked like a white and black rice ball. I felt badly for the little guy. Does anyone know if this is normal? Or should I be concerned about my outside domesticated cats? Or if my dog got hold of any poop in the yard?

Skunk poop is actually called "scat," and it's also called "droppings." I enclose a link to a good site about what skunks like to eat, and what their droppings look like when you see them on your lawn (or wherever else).

Why don't you stick your head up its butt to find out.
