Service required is the oil change reminder. Service engine soon would be the check engine light.
what to do when the malfuction light comes on?
The Service Vehicle or Maintenance Required light is there to remind you to do scheduled service on time. When the light comes on look in your owner's manual to see what service is due. Normally this means change the oil/filter. This is not the same as the Check Engine light which means there is a problem with the emission's system.
it means when the maintenance light is on
A reset Engine Service Light comes on when an issue comes up with in the engine. This light can be reset by a tech or by fixing the problem.
The check engine light comes on when the ECU detects a problem with the emission system. The maintenance required light comes on when some maintenance is required on the vehicle such as an oil/filter change.
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Depends on which light you are referring to. The "Check Engine" light comes on when there is a problem with the emissions system. The "Maintenance Required Light" comes on when scheduled maintenance is required as outlined in your owners manual.
It means there is a problem with the AWD system or regular scheduled maintenance is required. Your owners manual will list any scheduled service it may need. If you see no service is needed then you have a problem. Seek professional help.

Stabalizer light turns on
According to my 2003 manual, the light comes on with approx 2.7 US Gallons (10L).
If you are referring to the Malfunction Indicator Light (yellow engine shaped light) the simplest way is to disconnect the negative battery post for 20 minutes or so. If the light comes on again during vehicle operation then the cause of the fault has not been corrected.
