really... it depends on your relationship with him. it could also have something to do with signals he thinks he is getting. if you work with this guy, esp if he is your boss, then he is out of line for touching you at all. even more so if he came up behind you and did it. if he is a friend outside of work he could just have an interest in you he just hasn't told you about yet. the best bet is to ask why he did it. an if it made you uncomfortable then tell him to not do it. cause it doesnt matter how he or anyone means it... it matters how it makes you feel

∙ 13y agoit can mean all different kinds of things, one he could like you a lot, he really enjoys being with you or he is not embarrased to be seen with you. another reason could simply be that he wants to seduce you for sex. pick your choice on the kind of boy he is, is he a player or a quiet type guy? believe me normally its the second option.

If it is your boyfriend then it is probably just a way to get you closer or its on of the few "ok" places to put his hand. If it is stranger or acquaintance, except when dancing, seek help. That is extremely inappropriate and may be a way to lure into something more dangerous. If ballroom dancing, don't freak, this is a common way to to dance which provides a connection between the partners in a socially acceptable way.
