it's perfectly normal to be spotting at 5 weeks. it's just because you will not be menstrating through out the pregnancy (or as many periods). if the spotting occurs longer than 2 weeks, consult a doctor. im five weeks preg and went to the doctors a couple days ago.... i had an inside sonogram done... well i woke up the mext day to fine alittle of reddish blood on the paper.. which i freaked out.. ever since its just been the brownish blood.. but ots not so much that it discharges it stays in side if me.... im so scared.... any advise?
you should be fine....it is said to be common but if you have any concerns consult your doctor...im almost 7 weeks and had red watery blood once and spotting brown since then for about 2 days and they said everything was ok....drink lots of water and stay hydrated and take is easy for about a week. also try going on cervix rest which means nothing in the vagina for a week! it might help! good luck! -- fellow pregnant friend!
Ask your doctor.
You should call your doctor. Good luck and God Bless:)

This is spotting, it's light bleeding that has mixed with your discharge. This can occur at the start of end of your period, or it may be spotting for another reason such as ovulation spotting.
no
It certainly can mean you are pregnant but it also may mean other things. You should take a pregnancy to be sure, or get the Dr. to give you a blood test to confirm.
I STARTED HAVE BROWN SPOTTING AT 12 WEEKS WITH NO CRAMPS I WENT IN FOR AN ULTRA SOUND AND FOUND OUT THE BABY DIED A 7 WEEKS 6 DAYS . THEN 4 MONTHS LATER HAD A CHEMICAL PREGNANCY. NOW THREE MONTHS AFTER THAT I AM 4 WEEKS 4DAYS PREGNANT AND AM HAVING BROWN SPOTTING I WENT FOR A BLOOD TEST AND A NEXT ONE TWO DAYS LATER AND MY HCG LEVELS HAVE DROPPED MEANING I AM HAVING ANOTHER MISCARRIAGE. I WOULD CHECK WITH YOUR DR. CAUSE AFTER HEARING WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT SPOTTING BROWN THEY HAVE GONE ON WITH A NORMAL PREGNANCY. I GUESS AM NOT ONE OF THE LUCKY
Brown vaginal discharge can be related to your period, it's known as spotting and caused when blood mixes with discharge and takes time to leave the body (thus going brown). It can occur just before or after your period, light periods may be only light spotting like this, or brown discharge can be an indication of bleeding for other reasons like hormonal imbalance or ovulation spotting.
if it is light that is one thing go to the doctor either way, it may or may not be serious
It could.
Brown discharge is spotting, light bleeding taking time to leave your body and mixing with discharge. Spotting can occur as your period starts, or it can be a result of many other things such as mid-cycle spotting around ovulation due to irregular hormones.
This DOESN'T necessarily mean miscarriage!
