∙ 10y agoIt basically just saves a copy of all the data on your phone to your computer or to iCloud. If anything happens to your phone, and you need to format (delete everything) on the phone, you can easily restore all of your contacts, photos, apps, and other data. Hope this helped!

itunes will back up your apps when you sync your iPhone if the computer is authorized (store-authorize computer in itunes).

you should probably restore your iPhone. Plug it in go in iTunes, click on your iPhone and press the restore button. THIS WIL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR iPhone IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION ON IT THAT YOU NEED RIGHT CLICK YOUR IPHONE AND PRESS BACKUP BEFORE RESTORING. The backup may contain whatever is breaking your app installs so if you still are having trouble bring it to an apple store and have them backup just what you need. Most likely this wont be necessary and just backing up and restoring should work.

well idk if you can back up itunes but i do know that you can back up an ipod off of itunes. to do so all you have to do is sync up your ipod/ipad and the first thing that it will do is back it up. i hope that helped! =)

Hi. Have you tried syncing your phone to the iCloud and then sync your iPad from iCloud backup. Or if you still want to use iTunes make sure the check box in books is ticked when backing up/ syncing when each items are connected to your computer
