it is very rare when you find gold but if you do they are often found in between rocks or small nuggets or flecks . Gold is soft, and malleable it can be easily cut with a sharp knife. Also, when you think you have found gold it isn't always the color of bright yellow as you imagine.

Gold can be found in nature in several conditions:

  • Pure gold can come in minute flecks or nuggets (gold pebbles)
  • Gold in quartz or other rock can appear as threads of gold passing through the stone
  • Gold in many mines is only a few grams of gold per tonne of rock and is mostly invisible to the naked eye.
