The VFR hold line is comprised of two solid yellow lines followed by two dashed yellow lines with the dashes being on the runway side.
Stop at the runway hold line, contact control tower via 2 way radio to ask for permission to enter/cross
This is the line where a pilot will be told to stop before access to teh runway. This allows ATC to know there is one "waiting to go" and there in allows them to make sure incoming planes are given priority to land. No pilot may move passed a hold short until told by ATC to do so
A VFR hold line looks like a pair solid yellow lines followed by a pair of broken (dashed) yellow lines.The dashed lines will be on the side closest to the runway, with the solid lines on the ramp-side of the taxiway. This is meant to communicate to pilots that while you do not need ATC clearance to cross over them to leave the runway (approaching from the dashed side) you DO need ATC clearance to cross over them and enter the runway (approaching from the solid side.)

The VFR hold line is the line on the taxi way which vehicles are not allowed to cross without permission from ATC during VFR weather conditions. The IFR hold line serves the same purposes but during IFR weather. In most places there will simply be a "hold line" which serves as the hold line during both VFR and IFR conditions.... but in situations where an aircraft waiting at the hold line may interfere with ground-based radio signals (such as an ILS approach signal) an IFR hold line may be positioned farther back from the runway to reduce this risk.

The mandatory instruction marking is located on the left-hand side of the taxiway center line marking on the holding side of the runway-holding position marking. It consists of an inscription in white on a red background.
these are the lights that are placed in the areas where the aircraft first touches the runway. the runway threshold ligts should be placed perpendicular to runway center line and as close as possible.The lights should show visible green in the direction of aircraft.
