Mitosis is vital to your health. Its a type of cell division. When any cell in your body is in mitosis, it can make multiple copies until the sensors in the cell tell it to stop. Mitosis heals you when you break a bone, get a cut, or get injured because it replaces the cells that were lost. If your cells can't use mitosis, your body would not work as well, and will not be able to fix itself in many areas. However, mitosis does have a risk. Cancer is when mitosis cannot stop. The cells multiply continuously since the sensors are not working correctly.
