The first McDonald's in Ireland opened on May 9, 1977. There are currently about 83 McDonald's locations in Ireland. The McDonald's in Nutgrove, Dublin was the first in all of Europe with a drive-thru.

The truth is that a McDonalds salad has 60% more fat than one of their cheseburgers!

Another truth is that now Chinese people (people who used to live the longest because of how well they eat) have McDonald's and are getting fatter every minute, I don't even think they live any longer than us now!

Dave Thomas was the founder and he named it after his daughter. The only thing dropped from the original menu since 1969 was sugar cream pie. In 1980 the chicken sandwish was added to the menu. The Frosty's were first sold for 35 cents.
