What do you have to do to prevent a roaming legendary Pokemon from running away?

There are many ways, one way would be to catch a wobbefet that has the ability shadow tag, which does not allow the Pokemon to escape. Another way would be making it asleep.
Or if you have a Pokemon that knows block or mean look, that would help too.
