Chlorophyll - A pigment located within a chloroplast that absorbs light in plant cells, helping to convert light energy into biological energy in the process of photosynthesis.

Chloroplast - A double membrane-bound organelle found in plant cells that contains chlorophyll and is responsible for mediating photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis - A process in which plants convert sunlight into energy sources that can be used inside the cell to sustain life.

Product - A substance obtained from a chemical reaction.

Reactant - The raw materials needed for a chemical reaction.

NADP - A hydrogen carrier molecule

Calvin cycle - The use of ATP and NADPH to produce sugars

Carbon dioxide - (CO2) A reactant molecule from the air

Water - (H2O) A reactant molecule from the soil

Oxygen - (O2) A product molecule from the light-dependent reactions

Glucose - (C6H12O6) A product molecule from the light-independent reactions

Stroma - Area outside the thylakoid membrane where the Calvin cycle takes place

Grana - Stacks of thylakoids found in the discoid chloroplasts

I'm not entirely sure about light dependant and light independent, and where they fit in, but these are pretty much it.

green plants take sunlight and convert it into sugars to make food or energy

Carbon dioxide and water use the sun's energy to produce glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Glucose is in many things that humans and animals eat. An example of what glucose can be found in is a vegetable. And oxygen is what we breathe.
