Okay, just so you know,I'm 10.Hey, I've done alot of research on Axolotls,so I would trust me if i were you.The reason I did the research is to get my own Axolotl.I own one ,it's name is Silkie. Its a baby. You can feed them bloodworms, but DON'T ever, ever, ever feed them any worm you find in the ground. They can contain parisites.Get bloodworms from a store. And don't put the food in a tank with gravel. I tried that and i couldn't find all the worms in his tank until 3 days later.I had to pick them out with my bare hands, they were rotting. And NEVER put them in tapwater it contains chlorine.(KLOR-reen)Take a tuperware container and scoop up filtered water from the tank and feed him/her in there.
yes you can
It is reccomended to feed them about 2 or 3 times a week. And also, as they're more active in dim light, feeding them at evening or night is also reccomended.
The axolotl's main diet is small aquatic creatures (e.g. worms, crustaceans and tiny fish) and also insects. You can also give treats like fish pellets.
