If it's really small (but then the doc usually call it an erosion instead) it may be possible slow it down by using fluorine-enriched mouthwashes and/or chewing gums. If it's bigger, get it filled. if it's really big, you may have to have the tooth extracted.
To avoid getting more, ask a dental nurse to show you how to brush properly, do it regularly, and try not to eat snacks or drink sugary beverages too often during the day.
