depends where.... street or a business or an online ''company''
usually street vendors will sell you something that looks real or authentic and sell you something that is either stolen, broken, or defective. Don't rely on the object just because it has a brand printed on it- the vendor can sew this or illegally print it on the product
if you order something in the mail and you know the company has big profit-throw in a demand, but don't get too comfy because demands usually don't work and just waste your time. Don't file complains either because companies usually receive complaints, but ignore them.
lastly, when buying online, check the provider for any suspicious schemes and don't put your credit card number on sites that you don't trust.only trust sites that have been verified like amazon or ebay. (sometimes pages that are secure may have a little green lock at the URL bar). If you got ripped off then you are short out of luck because in any way scammers have already planned all their scams and will not respond to their site and/or will not have any tracking devices on their sites. good luck if you've been ripped off
