Check all of the fuses and relays, if they are good, chances are that the blower motor is bad, but once you get it out try to get electricity to it both +and- if it works then, the switch is bad.... This is what I would do...
The heat sink (sensor) has gone bad and is telling the fan to keep going. Even without the key on the fan will still go. I had the same problem on my 2004 Grand Prix. A new fan motor and module next to the fan motor fixed the problem. The failure was caused by rain water entering the fan motor compartment. A rubber seal under the plastic cover beneath the passenger side wiper was to blame.
if iement lost 2004 key how do i get code for replac
Sure, the dealership can do that for you.
The fan should turn off after the engine is shut off. If it stays on, the radiator fan relay has failed.
first check if you have power to motor. Key on & switch on.Check if you have power at connecter at motor. If power at the motor-replace motor. No power then check the resistor, The resistor has to have power to it & out of it to motor motor at all 3 speeds. Don't forget to check you fuses first. I have a fuse in my truck in fuse box under the dash & another one in fuse box under the hood
Trouble code P0513 means:Incorrect immobilizer key
The factory alarm is reset by unlocking the doors with a key or remote.
The cooling fan is operated by an electric motor rather than the revolutions of the car's motor. If your fan is staying on I would investigate the electrical systems leading to the fan, if the key is in the on position it is probably allowing power to pass to the electric motor. Otherwise there may be some short in a switch that is meant to shut it off.
The starter will quit engaging in the motor. Sometime if u bump the key it will work.
The factory alarm is reset with the remote or by unlocking the door with the key.
First check your fuse if it is good then disconect the plug at the fan motor and check if it has power going to the fan, make sure the key is on and the heater is turned on. If you have power at the conector than you have a bad blower motor, if the fuse is good and you dont have any power to the motor then you have a break in the wire.
The radiator fan should not run after the key is shut off. The normal cause is a failed radiator fan relay.
