Muslims (people who believe in Islam) believe in the so called "5 pillars of Islam".

- Shahada: The belief in God (Allah) and his prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

- Salat: The requirement to pray five times a day at fixed times during the day.

- Zakat: alms-giving is the practice of charitable giving by Muslims based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all who are able to do so.

- Sawm: Fasting, Al-Quran teaches 3 types of fasting. "Ritual fasting";"Fasting as compensation or repentance";"ascetic fasting"

- Hajj: Every able-bodied Muslim is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lifetime if he or she can afford it.

They believe in One God unlike other religions like Hinduism. They also believe that Allah (their God) created prophets like Adam, Ibrahim and Musa. In Christianity, Ibrahim is known as Abraham and Musa, Moses. Their deen (faith) is divided in 5 parts: Shahadah, meaning testimony of faith. The Muslim has to say with belief that Allah is one and that Muhammad is his last messenger. The second 'pillar' is Sallah, meaning prayer. Muslims have 5 daily prayers. Allah gave us 50 daily prayers until the Prophet Musa told Muhammad to tell Allah to decrease it. We are now left with 5. The 3rd'pillar Zakaah, means to give charity. It is rewarding for a Muslim to give 2.5% of their wealth for Zakaah. There are 3 types of charity: Zakaah (mandatory charity), Lillah (for Allah and for success/protection) and Sadaqah (charity for no particular reason). ' The 4th 'pillar' Sawm means to fast in Ramadan, the month which we believe the Quran (Muslim Holy Book- like The Bible, Torah, etc) was sent down. The Muslim has to wake up for 'Seher' at around 2-5 o'clock in the morning and eat as much food as they can as they cannot eat until sunset which is around 6-9 o'clock most of the times. That time is called 'Iftar/i'. The last pillar is Hajj, which is pilgrimage to the city of Makkah. 'Umrah' is a small type of Hajj. A Muslim must go to Hajj at least once in his lifetime. Thanks. Hope I helped.

They mainly believe in worshiping one and only one God with no partner, no son, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence and that Muhammad (PBUH) is His prophet and Messenger. They believe in all God prophets, all God holy books, Angels, the second eternal life, and God destiny. Refer to related question below.
