Some people where green on St. Patrick's day because to them it's good luck.

Yes that's one of the things people do for the day, but here in the USA, the sprit of ST. Patrick's Day is forgotten for most people. To them it's just a day to drink till you pass out and to be as obnoxious as they can. Oh and lets not forget about all the fights that are started too!! Then all the drunks get in their cars and try to maneuver home without killing anyone or themselves. Then the next day they are sick as hell and call in sick to work. There, how's that for an explanation?
