I'm not exactly sure... but both move from low concentration areas to high concentration areas. So...I'm im guessing they both diffuse into a membrane. Don't think I'm smart..I just have this for homework!!! =) hope this helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are slightly right. Both move from low concentrations to high concentrations. Active Transport however requires energy as ATP whereas diffusion is a passive process. Hope this helped :)
