Rd is a British abbreviation for "Registered". In 1885 Rd and a number was used to mark each china pattern registered with the Design Patent Office. Earlier marks, starting in 1842, were Rd in a Diamond with letter or number codes in the corners to specify a date of registry. To find an approximate date for a pattern being registered divide the number by 10,000 and add the result to 1885. Example: if a piece is marked Rd13000 divide 13,000 by 10,000 which equals 13. Add 13 to 1885 and the piece was registered in about 1898. An exact date is available through the Registry Patent Office Design in London, England for a slight fee.

One can have an antique doll appraised at a local antique dealer. They will be able to check the dolls for markings, which will tell when the doll was made and who manufactured it. From there, one can start the process of having them appraised.
If there are no markings on it you will never know.
