Islam is the belief that there is one and only one God, called Allah in Arabic (or God in English and same God worshiped in Judaism and Christianity) and that God assigned prophets and messengers to call their people to worship God as the one and only one God. Islam has the belief also that Muhammad is the last God prophet and messenger who calls people for Islam. But one thing that's important to know is that all God prophets called their people to full submission to God (that is the meaning of the Arabic word of Islam)

Muslims believe in

1) the One, Unique, Incomparable, Merciful God - the Sole Creator and Sustainer of the Universe;

2) the Angels created by Him;

3) the Prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind, Muslims respect and revere Jesus (peace be upon him). They believe that He was born miraculously. They consider him one of the greatest of God's messengers to mankind.;

4) the Day of Judgment and individual accountability for actions and 2nd life after death

5) God's complete authority over destiny, be it good or bad; and

6) God holy books including Torah, The Bible, and Quran.

Muslims believe that God sent His messengers and prophets to all people and God's final message to humanity, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing up of all that had gone before, was revealed to the Last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Archangel Gabriel.

Additional infoMuslims also believe in Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and all the other prophets (peace be upon them all). Although some areas of Christianity, Judaism and Islam differ, the main idea is that Muslims believe Christianity is an extension of Judaism, and Islam is an extension of Christianity.

Since the days of Adam and Abraham the message continued to be forgotten over time so Moses was sent, and when the message was forgotten again Jesus was sent to "reaffirm the Law."

Around 600 years later, Muhammad was sent as the last messenger to bring to all of mankind the original message of monotheism. As a test to believers, God changed certain commands and rituals, which is why there are some differences in obligations and prohibitions amongst Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Although Muslims believe in Jesus (and that the Virgin Mary was imbued with the spirit - "ruh" - of God) and even the second coming of Jesus, Muslims disagree with the idea that Jesus is the son of God or is God himself.

Most Christian scholars believe that The Bible itself never says Jesus claimed to be God or the son of God, so for Muslims it makes sense to believe in Jesus as a great Messenger. Muslims honor all the messengers and are taught to live in peace. After all, the meaning of the word Islam is "peace."

For a thorough definition of the words "Islam" and "Muslim", the 5 pillars of Islam, and the 6 articles of faith, refer to link below.

One God. Jesus not god, God not Jesus.

Muslims believe in: (the main 5 bases)

1. That god (Allah) is one. He has no wife. No son nor partner.

2. Allah is evenhanded, equitable, just, and fair.

3. Since he is just and fair, he sent Messengers to guide the humanity to the right path.

4. After the Last Messenger who is Muhammad (peace be upon him), who will guide the humanity? The Imam.. Allah told his messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) that the Imams after him will be the leaders to the day of judgment, because humanity cannot live in peace if there is no WISE leader.

5. The day of judgment.

* Branches of Islam:

- Muslims believe in ALL the prophets. They believe in Jesus, but they believe that Allah sent the last messenger after Jesus.

- Their holy book is the "Quran".

- Since Allah created the human kind, he must know about our selves more than we do(because when you create a Robot for example I am sure you know about the Robot more than the Robot it self), therefore he gave us orders to orgenize our life. Such us no Lying, no Stilling, no bad stuff (you can check them in Islamic religious books). Also he persuaded us on Good deeds such as helping poor, and feeding hunger (also you can check them).

- Finally in Islamic rules everything you do, every act must classified in one of the followings:

1. "must be done"... such as Fasting in the month of Ramadan. (if you do it you make good deeds (hasanat) and if you don't do it you are making sins).

2. "Should NOT be done" ... such as Lying. (if you do it you are making sins)

3. "Mustahab"... those are the deeds that Allah like's you to do.. such as helping poor..(if you don't do it you are NOT making sins, but if you DO it you are making greate deeds (hasanat)...)

4. "Makrooh)... those are the deeds that Allah DONT like you to do. Such as ... screaming at your teacher... (if you DO it you don't make sins, but if you don't do it you are making Greate Hasant).

5. "Mubah".. those are the things that you are free to do (no sins no nothing)... Such as drinking water. Riding your bycicle.

AnswerMuslims believe in Islam. Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For more than a fifth of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness.

The word "Islam" itself means "Submission to Allah." The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of "Christianity" which was named after Jesus Christ, "Buddhism" after Gutama Buddha , "Marxism" after Karl Marx, and "Confucianism" after Confucius.

Similarly, Islam is not named after a tribe like "Judaism" after the tribe of Judah and "Hinduism" after the Hindus. The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the will of the only true god worthy of worship, "Allah" (known as God "the Father" in Christianity).

Anyone who does indeed submit to the will of Allah as required by Islam is termed a "Muslim," which means one who has submitted to the will of Allah. Many people in the West have developed the sad misinformed trend of calling Islam "Muhammadenism" and it's followers "Muhammadins." This is a totally foreign word to Muslims and unrecognized by them. No Muslim has ever called his religion "Muhammadenism" or called himself a "Muhammadin."

AnswerMuslims believe that "Allah" (or God in English and same God in Judaism and Christianity) is the one and only one god of everything. AnswerMuslims believe in one God and that Muhammad is his messenger.

some Qur'an verses to show you the Muslim understanding of God:

112:1-4

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

And there is none like unto Him.

2:256

Allah - there is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence. Neither sleepiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last God messenger.

Muslims believe in God, his angels, his Books, his messengers, the Day of Judgment, destiny.

Muslims believe: that God is One: that He communicates with human beings via special people called prophets, two of whom were Jesus and Muhammad, God bless them and grant them peace; that five prophets (Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad) were given codified books of prophecy; in angels; the Day of Judgment; and Divinely ordained fate.

They believe there is only one deity worthy of worship, and that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His messenger.

Muslims believe that there is one god,only one god that created every thing,even they don't believe that Jesus is god,or god in three heads in one, they believe that god gave Jesus power to create not to be god, also they relive that Jesus and Moses are just prophets nothing more nothing less.

Refer to related question below.

The religion of Islam was begun early in the 7th century A.D. by a man named Muhammad. He claimed to have been visited by the angel Gabriel. During these angelic visitations, which continued for about 23 years until Muhammad's death, the angel purportedly revealed to Muhammad the words of God (called "Allah" in Arabic and by Muslims). These dictated revelations comprise the Qur'an, Islam's holy book. Islam teaches that the Qur'an is the final authority and the last revelation of Allah.

Muslims, the followers of Islam, believe the Qur'an to be the preexistent and perfect word of Allah. Further, many Muslims reject all other language versions of the Qur'an. A translation is not a valid version of the Qur'an, which only exists in Arabic. Although the Qur'an is the main holy book, the Sunnah is considered the second source of religious instruction. The Sunnah was written by Muhammad's companions about what Muhammad said, did, and approved.

The key beliefs of Islam are that Allah is the only true God and that Muhammad was Allah's prophet. By simply stating these beliefs, a person can convert to Islam. The word "Muslim" means "one who submits to Allah." Islam purports to be the one true religion from which all other religions are derived (including Judaism and Christianity).

Muslims base their lives on the five pillars:

1. The testimony of faith: "There is no true god but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God."

2. Prayer: five prayers must be performed every day.

3. Giving: one must give to the needy, as all comes from Allah.

4. Fasting: besides occasional fasting, all Muslims must fast during the celebration of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar).

5. Hajj: the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah) should be performed at least once in a lifetime (during the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar).

These five tenets, the framework of obedience for Muslims, are taken seriously and literally. A Muslim's entrance into paradise hinges on obedience to these five pillars.

In relation to Christianity, Islam has several similarities and significant differences. Like Christianity, Islam is monotheistic, but in opposition to Christianity, Islam rejects the concept of the Trinity. Islam accepts certain portions of the Bible, such as the Law and the Gospels, but rejects the majority of it as slanderous and uninspired.

Islam claims that Jesus was a mere prophet, not God's Son (only Allah is God, Muslims believe, and how could He have a Son?). Rather, Islam asserts that Jesus, though born of a virgin, was created just as Adam, from the dust of the earth. Muslims believe Jesus did not die on the cross; thus, they deny one of the central teachings of Christianity.

Finally, Islam teaches that paradise is gained through good works and obedience to the Qur'an. The Bible, in contrast, reveals that man cannot measure up to the holy God. Only because of His mercy and love can sinners be saved through faith in Christ

Answer:

The six articles of faith, in Islam are:

1) That God is The Only God - with no partners, no sons or daughters.

2) That God created the Angels.

3) That God sent the Prophets - from Adam through Muhammad.

4) That God revealed certain scriptures (books) to some of His Prophets.

5) That God will raise everyone back to life for the Day of Judgment.

6) That God has created both free will, and destiny.

Refer to related questions below.

Muslims believe in the One and Only, Unique God of Abraham - who has NO partners, NO equals, and NO children; and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Last and Final Prophet of God sent to Mankind.

We believe that the Jews and Christians do not have the full message, and that their books and beliefs have been corrupted. Especially Christians because they think that Jesus the Messiah (peace be upon him) claimed to be more than a man. they say that God had a son - and this is just Roman, pagan religion taking the place of what Jesus really taught.

God is One and Only One. The way to salvation is to recognize this fact. No one is worthy of worship except the One God. No one else is any kind of deity except God alone.

Muhammad brought the final Law of God for all Mankind. After Jesus, who is the Messiah and will return to Earth, Muhammad was the Messenger of the Covenant. That is the one who is foretold - by even Jesus. the Prophet who would bring the long-awaited Kingdom of God on Earth.

they believe in peace and being trustworthy
