Ballet doesn't really 'do' anything. It is an art form consisting of stylised dance movements, usually set to Classical Music.
It changed much of the world. It survived over five centuries. It gave people a life-long passion. It gave many long, lean, sculpted, ripped and flexible physiques. It gave people balance, posture and focus. It gave a lot of people the hardest physical challenge possible. And entertained and blew-away unlimited numbers. It got a lot of boys persecuted and brutalized for following this esteemed practice. It made a lot of people fall in love with it--and even push their daughters to do what they never did. It allowed a lot of trannies to have the perfect excuse to wear make-up, pantyhose and delicate slippers. It inspired the shoe-style "ballet flats" so along with all-purpose pantyhose, women can carry their "ballerina look" wherever and whenever they go. It inspired endless other forms of dance. It changed the world... and it's still doing that right now.
