Student. Researcher. Scholar. Teacher. Inventor--he invented peanut butter.

He was offered many jobs but he only accepted a job of being professor at Simson College. George Washington Carver invented many inventions, but not peanut butter. It was originaly invented by Lincons wife, who was insane. Lincon wanted to make it look like a black man had invtented it, so that the south would be kinder to blacks. But at the night of a play, just as he found a perfect name, he was shot in the head by Jonh Wilks Booth. Many years later, the presidant at the time, sent a bottle of peanut butter to Carver. He took it inside and said he made it. And that is the origin of peanut butter.

He was a botanist and scientist, director of agricultural research 1896 - 1943 at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.

He was a plant scientist, known at the "plant doctor". He performed agricultlural experiments originally in Kansas, and researched plants, crops, and crop rotation, especially helpful in the southern United States. He was responsible for developing crops such as peanuts and sweet potato, for Alabama when their monoculture of cotton agriculture had resulted in poor soil nutrients. He developed hundreds of uses for plants--especially to benefit poor Black farmers- such as alternative fuel for autos, and many uses for sweet potatoes and peanuts such as medicines and paints. Developed and conducted research on many plants which benefitted primarily the Southern and Black populations in the United States.
