It could be a rotator cuff injury. Does it hurt when you lift your arm above your head? you should go see a physiotherapist.

∙ 15y agoWhile there are many other possiblilties, it's important I tell you that these are among the early warning signs of a cardiac event, otherwise known as a heart attack. You're showing enough symptoms to warrant an ambulance ride to the hospital. In any case, get this seen. Other symptoms are: * Shortness of breath * Pain or pressure in chest * sweating * confusion and or fear. Good luck -- and get going.

No, no, no, dont scare the bejesus out of ppl! A lot of it depends upon what was going on before you felt any pain in your left arm.
Has it ever happened before? Were you sleeping no your left side? using your left hand/arm for any reason? Have any othe rmedical conditions? etc. etc.
My left thigh/left upper arm felt numb last night and I went into a panick attack like you NEVER saw thinking I was having a stroke!
I'm 37 and overweight and have had this spot on my L thigh thats been numb for a long time now (years).
Pain in the L arm does NOT mean stroke, heart attack, etc. It can mean that. So, you have to carefully monitor your entire body and see what other symptoms you may have.
IF it worries you that much please go to the ER asap or call your doctor and get in there for an appt. right away. I am considerng doing this myself because ofthe general weak feeling inmy uppper L arm and thigh.

∙ 11y agoIt is possible for left arm pain to be caused from straining the muscles of the arm, pending heart attack, or it can also be caused from indigestion. Yes indigestion can mimmick a heart attack, however, that is something not to take lightly. Try taking an antacid. If it goes away, good. If not you should see a healthcare professional immediately.
