they joined the labor union because they were not getting enough Why_did_many_workers_join_labor_unions_in_the_late_1800sto feed there family and pay for food. the workers were only getting $10 a week for all the hard work they do, working 12 hours a day and also putting there life in danger. this made many workers very angry and thought they deserve a raise.
