A tradition Indian costume can be called a headdress in the case of a Native American Indian Chief costume. Another costume that was worn both by males and females was made of buckskin. The females wore a dress and the males wore pants made from deer skins.

This question is like asking someone to speak in European. The people, who had hundreds of separate nations, each with their own language, ceremony and culture, lived in many geographical locations. Those who lived in what is now called Alaska wore different clothing than those who lived in what is now called Florida.

All indigenous people wore/wear clothing based on what was available to them from the environment. Today, except for powwows and those who are traditionalists on a reservation, western clothes are the norm.
