AIDS ( Acquired Immunodeficieny Syndrome) occurs when HIV Human Immunodificiency Virus) infects a person. Sexually transmitted AIDS occurs when a person has unporotected sex, (sex without a condom) with someone who has HIV. The virus can be in an infected person's blood, semen, or vaginal secretions, and can enter the other persons body through tiny, microscopic tears, cuts or sores in the lining of your vagina, penis, rectum or mouth. Due to the friction occurring during sexual activity, microscopic lacerations occur quite often, this allows these body fluids from the infected partner to enter the uninfected partners blood stream.
