best bet, bet the oem number off of the carb that is on the vechile. Your local parts store should be able to locate the correct replacement with this number. The number should be on a metal tag on the carb, or stamped in the side of the carb.

Mike.C. Says; Make sure the carb is the one from the caravan engine, whenever you get any engine parts you'll want to use the model and year of the engine unless the engine is the exact same one that came out of the truck ie; 3.3 out 3.3 back in etc etc etc.... then its just a part for the 3.3 Dodge Dakota... ....20+yrs Dodge do-it-yourselfer...

1993 F250 idles too high?

I Would say the choke on your one barrel carburetor is sticking Start the engine. Let the engine reach operating temperature.Remove your Air cleaner to your Carburetor while the engine is running.Look down the throat of the carburetor and you will see a round flap A.K.A the butterfly. This flap should be completely open when the engine is at operating temperature open so that the air can pass through the throat of the carburetor freely. If you don't understand how a choke works go to howstuffworks and ask how a carburetor choke works and it will all make since.

Why must accelerator on 1974 Cadillac 8.2 liter engine be repeatedly pumped to make it start?

It has a carburetor and you have to pump some gas into the engine before starting. Automatic choke may not be working, the carburetor may be getting worn and not pumping as much as needed. Everything working right, one or two pumps should be enough.

How to fix vapor lock?

There are two basic ways to do this. The first one, turn the engine over with the starter motor untill the air lock goes away. Second, if this does not work you may have to bleed the fuel system, usually at the carburetor. With sufficient fuel in the gas tank and the fuel pump in good shape, the block should go away using bleeding and turning over the engine. In rare cases of mechanical obstruction the carburetor has to be removed and compressed air forced through the fuel lines.

A 2002 Grand Caravan would have either a 3.3L or 3.8L V6. Both of those engines have timing chains that will last the life of the engine and should never need serviced. A 2.4L inline 4 cylinder in a Caravan or Voyager has a belt that should be changed around every 100,000 miles.
