elder scrolls vi hasn't even come out yet, but iv (oblivion) you can just about do anything, like ride horses, create your own race, pick locks, join four guilds(assassin's, thieves, fighters, and mages), you can steal, explore dungeons, murder people, quest for powerful weapons, use magic, fight in the arena, use speech to your advantage, and much, much more.
The Elder Scrolls VI will probably be Valenwood, the homeland of Bosmers.
In the meantime we can explore Skyrim more, and start playing the Elder Scrolls Online as it comes in 2013. That may postpone the release of TES VI.
Most probably TES VI will be released before 2018.

- use the Atronach Forge. It allows you to summon frost, fire, and storm atronachs.
- use the Alchemy Lab
- find the skillbook De Rerum Dirennis
- collect Torchbug Thoraxes and White Caps
- find a leveled, enchanted dagger pinned to a skeleton
- find 4 ingots of Refined Moonstone in the ceiling rafters
- find an Orichalcum ingot on the wardrobe next to the entrance to the Atronach Forge

- Daedric Relic
- Good Intention
- Restoration Ritual Spell quests

∙ 9y agoWell the game has many quests you can go on of all different types weather it be to kill someone, slay a dragon, or cleanse a temple from evil. Chances are you will find a quest that you find very enjoyable. And if you have done all the quests now, there are Xbox achievements to take over a city which requires you to literally kill every living being in it. So you could rampage the world and end up being the only one left alive if you would like. There are also add-ons you can get to get even more quests to do, such as Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Will Skyrim be Xbox Live accessible?
The creators of the Elder Scrolls have recently said that they will create an Elder Scrolls online, it will be a mix of all the Elder Scrolls. This feature resembles World of Warcraft, and doesn't look like it will have the same feel as Skyrim. Also, there is a new MOD being created for PC that allows a player to play only Skyrim and does not include the other Elder Scrolls. This MOD looks alot more fun, and more like the original singleplayer Skyrim, except you can do quests with your friends. Unfortunately, this MOD is still being perfected, and will not be completed for some time.

The Elder Scrolls series is comprised of vast open worlds that were made to be played however YOU want. The designers care not if their players take their time or speed through, only that players have fun!
