When your in Rome you should go to the colloseum. Rome is a really cool place. If you get Pizza be preparded- it doesn't taste or look like American pizza. The is very thin and theres not a lot of sauce. But as for places to go, you should go out to Vatican City and see the sistene chaplel, and St. Peter's cathedrel. In Rome you should see the colloseum, the patheon, the trevi fountain, Piazza Novona (if you near X-mas and New Years a lot of stuff goes on), Impereal Forem and Piazza di Spain. I went to Rome 3 years ago a had alot of fun. Oh and don't worry if you don't like some of the food theres is McDonalds;). Have Fun!!!!!!!!!

The most important thing to do in Rome: do as the Romans do.

You can do many things in Italy. The main tourist attraction is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. You should definitely visit that. Also be sure to try some of their pizza and pasta for an original taste. Make sure you pick up some neat clothes, also.

Rome, Italy's capital, is loaded with things to do and see. Make sure you visit them all, you'll love it. Some places to get you started are: The Colosseum/Vatican/Spanish Steps/Trevi Fountain/St. Peter's Basilica/Sistine Chapel... these are just a few, there's so much more and you can't see/do all in a week. Try and go for at least a month... if that's not possible, no less than 2 weeks. Seriously, you won't ever get bored. Rome is so beautiful and loaded with culture. Forget renting a car, it's so much more fun exploring on foot, which is the best/fun part. Just make sure you don't go in the winter or summer months, unless you love it super cold/hot.

Rome is a multi-layered city with multi-layers of interest. There are the famous historical sites, ranging from the ancient to WWII. There are numerous museums. In addition to the historical features, modern Rome is a thriving city with nightlife, entertainments and all the conveniences of a 21st century city. Where you go and what you see would be your personal preferences. You can always get travel brochures from travel agencies to see what is offered and the price. You can collect several or dozens before making a decision.

What was Saint George special for?

For his chivalry and bravery because he rescues a princess from a dragon.Roman Catholic AnswerSt. George, who feast day is April 23 was killed for the faith in Lydda, Israel, before the reign of Emperor Constantine and may have been a soldier in the imperial army. Because he has been such a popular saint for so many centuries (he was venerated in England as early as the eighth century and named patron of the Crusades, his red cross on a white background later became the basis for British military uniforms, the country's Union flag , and the decorations of the Order of the Garter) there have been many pious legends, which cannot be proved. In medieval mystery plays, St. George was always represented as killing a dragon. In Germany and Austria on eve of his feast day boys cracked whips to help the saint drive demons away. In Poland, farmers lighted fires in their yards to frighten evil spirits away. On the morning of his feast, the dew was mixed into the fodder to make the animals immune from attacks of demons or witches. Polish farmers have a fairy tale that St. George lives in the moon, which the Blessed Mother gave him as a reward for his great deeds. extracted fromEncyclopedia of Catholic Devotions and Practices by Ann Ball, Our Sunday Visitor, Inc.
