There are many things to do in Birmingham; mainly at the city centre there is the Bullring (a huge shopping centre) where there is a German Christmas Market every year. There are also many museums (showing art and history), and the National Sea Life Centre and Aquarium. Cadbury's World is great for chocolate lovers. There are also some very good music venues, the O2, the NIA the LG arena. Google it- there's loads!
The Bull Ring.
A little bit different from my day back in the 30's. The Fish Market was at the top of the Bull Ring but was bombed during the war. Barrows lined the Bull Ring selling all sorts of goods. Spivs sold stollen goods out of suit cases. Nelson stood in all his glory just by the underground toilets where you had to pay a penny to go to the toilet. A little blind lady sold paper carrier bags. Down the hill past Saint Martin's church was the old Rag Market. All just a memory now in my old mind.
