As well, all hospitality services are provided aboard the cruise ship, since there are no commercial ventures anywhere on the continent.

Commercial tourists can watch whales, visit research stations to learn about what research they're conducting at that time. They can visit penguin and seal communities on the beaches. Tourism takes place during the austral summer months only.
