If an employer discriminates against you, it is important to take notes that include the time, incident and location that the incident occurred. Where you file your complaint will depend on the type of law that your employer violated.

∙ 13y agoYou can support them by standing up for them, or by supporting them quietly afterwards. You can report the matter to supervisors or other managers, or to Union representatives. If discrimination is against the law you can make a report and suggest approaching Legal Aid or other lawyers or police.
You should write down with dates and times as much of the incident as you can remember before you forget it. Encourage the other person to keep a written record as well. Written notes are very valuable later on if there is an investigation!

∙ 14y agoI assume your question refers to combating discrimination. With this in mind I will answer your question. Federal law requires that employers post the definition of discrimination, give their employees training in what discrimination is and to have a method for an employee to file a complaint concerning something they felt that was discrimination. This is also given in conjunction with harassment. This covers all forms of discrimination and harassment in the work place.
