I don't know of a permanent solution to a head gasket leak other than replacing the gasket. In emergencies, I have used the "aluminum dust" type of leak stopper, but it doesn't last very long. You need to replace it before major damage is done. ---- Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix for $29.99 or so is a good repair for this problem. Cadillac has a problem with leaking head gaskets in their aluminum engines, especially if the head gets warped due to overheating. I had a problem with the water pump leaking which was replaced at a radiator shop. Later, my alternator went bad, unrelated to the water pump problem, and seized, causing the belt to break under load, and breaking one of the pulleys as well. My engine overheated, warping the head. The radiator shop fixed the alternator, belt, and a tube that was rusty that went to the heater core, as well as the pulley that broke. I found out that there was a slow leak on the right hand side of the engine coming from the head gasket after I took it to Wal-Mart for an oil change and taking it back to the radiator shop to check for a leak in the hose they replaced. The radiator shop put 'core sure' into the radiator, but the leak persisted. Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix, a new product, that is compatible with antifreeze (unlike other products) seems to have worked within the first 15 minute treatment. I am not sure if it will last a year, though, which is my goal.
You possibly have a leak in the cylinder head gasket. You possibly have a leak in the head gasket.
No, it will not. That is used as an emergency repair. The only fix for a blown head gasket is to replace it.
Head or head gasket leak
If it is leaking from a bad head gasket, it is because of a bad head gasket. If it is leaking from a bad intake manifold gasket, it is because of a bad intake manifold gasket.
It requires replacing the head gasket.
This is only used as an emergency repair and is NOT a permanent fix. The only permanent fix is to replace the gasket.

Usually a tear.
The coolant will normally leak into the oil or into the cylinder
maybe your head gasket
A common cause of problems in cylinder head gaskets is leaks in the gasket. When a leak forms, the gasket must be replaced.
