Anxiety can do these following things to you:

-Make you feel emotional, depressive, worried, angry, useless and weak.

-Makes your whole body tense.

-Carrys on and gets worse if you don't get help.

-Gives you very low confidence.

-Makes you think too much about things.

-Makes your energy levels go down, making you hungrier easier.

-Makes you frustrated and sometimes gives you tummy aches with so much stress.

-You need to go to the toliet more often.

-Shaking hands, sweaty palms, feeling very sick, sometimes makes you sick.

When having anxiety your body experiences the release of adrenaline which stimulates many areas of the body (increasing blood flow to muscles for example and giving one tunnel vision) as well as shutting down others that arent needed (such as digestion) to fight or run. It does no long term harm to the "nerves".
