What can a pregnant 16-year-old do when the father of her baby tells her he will take the baby away from her when it is born?
The law presumes that an unmarried mother even one who is a minor, has sole custodial rights to her child until a court rules otherwise. The father of a child must establish parentage before he can file a petition for custodial or visitation rights. This is done through a paternity test, either the traditional blood test or preferably DNA testing. Even when parentage is established the court does not grant sole custody rights to either parent unless one parent is deemed unfit according to the definition of the laws of the state. The young lady has no obligation to communicate with the underage father or his family, it is her choice. If she chooses not to have contact with them and they persist she may along with her parents or guardian request a "no contact" order from the court. This is possible because the father has no legal right of involvement, in any context, in the young lady's life unless she is agreeable.

Be upfront and honest. Approach him calmly and at the right time. The right time should be when you know he is calm and relaxed and in a setting you know he will be comfortabl…e. Beyond that it's just a matter of being upfront with him and telling him everything you know. But don't expect him to adjust to it right away...there might be a shock period, but if you are calm and understanding he should get over that quickly and hopefully you will be able to plan with him how both of you want to handle the whole thing.
Tell the Father . You have a moral obligation to let him know. Note that you can be sued for custody.
If you are about to be 17-years-old and are pregnant by a 19-year-old can your parents make you give up the baby or keep you away from the father so you and your baby will never see him again?
no you are over sixteen you have the right to do what you want if i were you id keep it just shag up again
Answer . OK, so isn't this extra good news? you miscarried at first buy now you are pregnant, ........If this is good news do the following.... Say "Honey guess what?" […he starts wondering how much you want or if you are going to invite some crazy relative or neighbour, etc] so before he turns too gloomy just say "I'm pregnant". You can also text, e-mail and tell him via sign language.
Yes, there is a procedure called amniocentesis, this is where a long needle is inserted into the amnio sac surrounding the baby and a small amount of fluid is drawed out for t…esting. This procedure can be risky resulting in miscarriage or other complications and can only be done around four months.
If Im in foster care 16 years old and found out Im pregnant will they take your baby away when its born?
sadly they can and in most cases will. But you are the mother and there for you have responsibility and the custody over the child they will try everything to take the baby aw…ay but you can refuse no matter how intimidating they seem you always have the choice with your child.
you just say honey you are not the father of my baby and i'm so sorry your not but you can still take care of it
Ask the possible fathers to take a DNA test once the baby is born.
She doesn't. He hears a rumour going around school, & goes to his therapist for advice. It's the fifth episode of the first season.
yes, u tell him first then your parents ,but sort something out with the father first
"I'm pregnant" is the short, blunt answer. There may well be issues of timing and setting - work out what would be the best time and place from his point of view. Is this goin…g to be welcome news or not such a good surprise? This will influence how you approach what might be a delicate situation. You may also need to anticipate how you'll cope with his reaction.
yes idk how through i mean they can make you put it up for adopition
Can a 16 year old that is pregnant put the father on the birth certificate if he will be 20 when the baby is born?
This is exactly what happened to my friend who got pregnant, accept she was 17 at the time. What you should do, to avoid any bad things happening, would not put him on the …Birth Certificate, and wait until you're 18 to do it.
Mother did not tell father she was pregnant to prevent father from seeing baby What should father do?
well in how in the first place, if this is this the father, how did u find out in the first place? and then i would go down to the local court house and file either solecustod…y or joint custody. then take it to court and then see if they find you a fit father or not. and then find out some stuff on the mother to get it to where you can find out that she is not being a fit mother. then you just got sole custody of that child. now if they find you not a fit father they maybe nice and at least grant you supervised visit with the child.
That depends on who you are. If you are one of the concerned parties, then you need a court order allowing you to maintain sole custody where you believe there is a good enoug…h reason to do so. Otherwise, the mother has 'assumptive' custody (i.e. they are the default guardian because they are the mother). If you are anyone else, then you cannot do anything about it except alert police to the issue. GO to Cord and wait for judge dicition..
If they think that you are a poor mother or think you would not be able to cope then I think it is possible, I highly doubt they will take it away. However I am unsure so do n…ot take any of this for definate.
You are not required to tell him, but then, if you don't tell him you can't ask him to pay child support, either. Of course, you may be planning an abortion, in which case it …may be better not to tell him.
