Abortion, Birth Control in most cases, Pornography ( they used to back the decency leagues and similar groups to enforce bans on certain movies- Divorce used to be the real ( Big Gun) target, this has eased back. ON the other side the Church is soft to neutral on alcohol use , has made no statement on tobacco, and generally does not preach against Gambling. In fact the last-named vice is widely used for fund raising under the guise of ( fall Frolics) which sounds more like fashion shows or something like that. The Fall Frolic was an automobile raffle, in laymen"s terms. They used to make a big thing about Divorce and related sexual vices- but did not attack Alcoholism .

Roman Catholic AnswerCatholicism has an entire set of laws called Canons, contained in the Codex Iuris Canonici which are the specific laws which govern Churches, Bishops, Pastors, Curates, Marriages, etc. There are also specific laws governing the liturgy: the Mass, the other sacraments, the Divine Office, Adoration, etc.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith collected our common beliefs into the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The bedrock set of the moral code is contained in the Sacred Scriptures, in the Ten Commandments, in what Our Blessed Savior taught in the New Testament, and in the constant teaching of the Church. For instance, the Fifth Commandment in the Old Testament is Thou Shalt Not Kill. There have been whole volumes written just about this one commandment, it covers everything from abortion, stem cell research, euthanasia, any unjust taking of human life (and hence, indirectly and implicitly, violence in thought, word, or act which may lead thereto - Exposing life or limb to danger without reasonable cause - Carelessness in leaving about poisons, dangerous drugs, weapons, etc. - Desires of revenge - Quarrels - Fights - Showing aversion or contempt for others - refusing to speak to them, when addressed - Ignoring offers of reconciliation, especially between relatives - Cherishing an unforgiving spirit - Raillery and ridicule - Insults - Irritating words and actions - Sadness at another's prosperity - Rejoicing over another's misfortune - Jealous at attentions shown to others - Tyrannical behavior - Inducing others to sin by word or example - Gluttony - Drunkeness - Rash use of opiates - Injury to health by over-indulgence - Giving drink to others, knowing that they will abuse it. (taken from A Manual of Prayers for use of the Catholic Laity, prepared and enjoined by order of the Third Plenary Council of Baltimore)
