The Gulf of Aden is a body of water bordered by Yemen at its north and by Djibouti, Somaliland, and Somalia along its south. In the west, it faces the Bab el-Mandeb which is a small strait that separates Yemen and Djibouti. In the east, it merges into the larger Arabian Sea.
