You could check with your dentist but the two most common causes are high fever and taking too much iron. No, too much fluoride is usually the cause. Happens if children swallow too much fluoride toothpaste.

They come from too much flouride intake. For example, you take a vitamin as a young kid with large amounts of it, then u use mouth wash for kids before you go to bed, as a result these things grow. The only way to treat them is chemical whitening, which could do damage if you are underage
