The only country in the world that has hurricanes on the Pacific Ocean is Mexico, no other, none, we have them all, you like everybody else have them over our gulf, The Gulf of Mexico, but we have the largest Pacific sea board in America, so we get all the storms which we always call Huricanes.

The generic term correct term for a hurricanes is tropical cyclone. This is the generic term that covers tropical storms of both the northern and Southern Hemisphere. Strong tropical cyclones in the Americas are called hurricanes, and tropical cyclones in Asian waters and the China Sea are called typhoons.
