sunlight is needed for plants to grow but if there is no plants animals will die and eventually we'll die because of no food

the sun affects things like plant growth. herbivores, eg rabbits, sheep etc, depend on plant life for their food. Also, carnivores like foxes, eagles, wolves, depend on these animals being alive and well fed for their own food. Everything comes from the sun

it depends on the animal some (like pigs) get sun burnt just like us others avoid sunlight all together for one of many reasons that's when there prey comes out or there enimies don't or they get to hot in the sun (like lions for the first and last one)
