Pot is great with Paxil. I get all the positives of being high with none of the panic or anxiety of being high. Great combo!! I also thought it was a great combo...pot can cause depression (yes, it did for me) and paxil lessens the depression. I took paxil for 11 years and was an everyday pot smoker for the same length of time. I was also taking clonazepam and wellbutrin In 2007 I ended up in the hospital suffering from extreme paranoia and psychosis. Also I could not urinate!! I had to use a catheter (for about 2 weeks, then I was going normally again) Man, that was scary!!! The doctors took me off the paxil and told me I could never smoke marijuana again. This doesn't happen to everyone, why it happened to me, I don't know.

If you were already taking Adderall, your prescriber might chose another antidepressant as long as Paxil might interact with Adderall (blocking its elimination). You might experiment very strong side effects in taking those 2 drugs..
Are Paxil Lithium and Loranzapam unsafe to take together?
I have found taking paxil and lithium together makes me feel much worse. The depression and panic attacks became much worse. I believe the paxil after 11 years of taking it stopped working and turned on me as my Bipolar 2 got worse, then taking the lithium enhanced the paxil thus compounding the issue. I am slowly getting off the paxil which is a nightmare but allowing me to avoid more extremes in the future. Paxil ahs turned out to be nasty drug with more side effects than you can imagine.

Studies have shown that taking Paxil while pregnant can cause birth defects and premature birth. Paxil also passes into breast milk, so it should not be taken while breast feeding, either. Talk to your doctor and see if there is something you can take to help with the side effects of getting off Paxil that will be safe for the baby.

I talked to a pharamicst today about the same question because paxil and stress has been giving me terrible headaches, the pharamisct told me that advil would be alright to take with paxil but if i were you i would speak to the doctor that prescribed the paxil to you.

Yes. I'm on that combination right now. So far so good. My psychiatrist said that the Wellbutrin should cancel out the libido inhibiting effects of the paxil. I haven't been able to find anything online about this though.
