Global winds are dependent largely on the large difference in temperature between polar and tropical regions. Global warming heats the poles faster than the tropics, thus reducing the temperature difference. Exactly how global winds would change as a result is hard to predict. One likely trend would be a weakening of jets streams in the temperate latitudes.
